Preventive Care & Teeth Cleaning
Dental cleaning and routine preventative care is the key to optimum dental health. Regular and thorough home care combined with professional maintenance appointments will keep your teeth and gums healthy throughout your life. Teeth are designed to last a lifetime and this is our goal for all of our patients.
Periodontal Therapy
Regular visits to our registered Dental Hygienists will ensure that your teeth and supporting tissues (gums and bone) will be maintained in optimal health. Any potential problems will be identified and addressed at all of your maintenance visits. Hygiene treatment is custom tailored for each individual patient and can involve several different modalities of therapy.
Porcelain Dentistry
Dental Porcelain has significantly evolved over the last 25 years. It is now much stronger and durable and is the material of choice for most single tooth restorations. It can also be used for short span fixed bridges to replace single missing teeth. These new porcelains have excellent esthetic properties and the results are beautifully natural looking restorations that are difficult to discern from actual dental enamel.
Esthetic Restorations
Kensington Dental Care offers comprehensive dental services for your whole family at every stage in their lives. We’re a family dental clinic aiming to make your dental experience with us comfortable and stress-free.

Replacement of Missing Teeth
There are four ways to replace missing teeth:
1) Complete Dentures – These are deemed necessary when there are no remaining natural teeth or none that can be salvaged. These are usually removable.
2) Partial Dentures – These are also removable prostheses that are supported by sound existing teeth and they replace teeth in areas where they are missing.
3) Fixed Bridges – These are protheses that are cemented to existing healthy teeth and usually limited to areas where only 1 or 2 teeth are missing.
4) Implants – Implants are titanium cylinders that are surgically placed in the jaw bones. They become integrated into the jaw bones and can support single tooth restorations or short span bridges. Implants require a healing period of approximately 4 – 6 months before the teeth can be placed on the implants. Implants can also be used as a support and retention mechanism in cases where there are no existing teeth. This would involve full arch prosthetics that are either screwed or cemented onto the implant abutments. Another alternative would be the case of a complete over denture that has internal clips that fit onto specialized implant abutments.
